The Tahiti Expeditions Team is made up of a small group of dedicated people that share a philosophy about the potential tourism has to create win-win situations between travelers and the places they visit. We see ourselves as facilitators of just this sort of tourism here in Tahiti. The core of our team is Frank Murphy and Marie-Laure Vanizette, and together we draw on a wide-ranging network of experts and tourism professionals to provide the best service possible to all our highly-valued clients.
Frank Murphy – Chief Expeditions Officer
Frank has an academic background in Biology and Geography and for the last 18 years has been involved in research and education in French Polynesia as Manager and Associate Director of UC Berkeley’s Gump Research Station in Moorea. Frank has also developed and operated tours for many of the premier adventure travel companies in the US, and lectured and guided tours for numerous alumni and museum groups.
Frank has Bachelor Degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies from U.C. Santa Cruz, and a Masters Degree in Geography from U.C. Berkeley.
Marie Laure Vanizette – Chief Operations Officer
Born and raised in French Polynesia, Marie Laure has an academic background in Politics, Business, and Law, and a professional background that covers a wide spectrum of the tourism industry in Tahiti, including as a senior administrator for international and domestic airlines.
Marie Laure has a degree from the Institute for Political Studies in Aix en Provence, in France, and a Masters Degree in Business Management from the University of Bordeaux.
